The 30-Day GEO Sprint: A Week-by-Week Action Plan

A structured 30-day program to move your PRSNSS Score from baseline to measurably improved. Week by week, with specific deliverables for each phase.

    PRESENSS TeamJuly 4, 2026 8 min read

Thirty days is enough to move a PRSNSS Score meaningfully if — and only if — the work is sequenced correctly. This sprint layers the fixes that compound: foundation, then content, then citations, then amplification and measurement. Skip a phase and the ones after it underperform.

Budget one focused person at 10–15 hours per week, or a small team at 5 hours each. Nothing here requires enterprise tooling.

    Day 0: Baseline

Before day one, measure. Run PRESENSS against your persona query set to capture:

    • Overall PRSNSS Score
    • Score per engine
    • Mention rate, average position, sentiment
    • Share of voice vs top 3 named competitors
    • Citation share

You cannot report progress without a baseline. Screenshot everything.

    Week 1 — Foundation

Ship the fixes that unlock everything else.

    • Technical foundation: publish llms.txt and llms-full.txt, audit robots.txt for all AI crawlers, verify BingBot / Google-Extended / GPTBot / PerplexityBot / ClaudeBot access.
    • Structured data: ship Organization schema (homepage) with full sameAs; SoftwareApplication or Product schema on pricing; FAQPage on real Q&A; Article schema on every blog post.
    • Entity consistency audit: reconcile brand name, founding year, HQ, founders, category, pricing across Wikipedia, Crunchbase, LinkedIn, G2, Glassdoor, Facebook, and your own site. Bring discrepancies to zero.
    • Wikidata: create or update your entity with sourced claims across the core properties.
    • LinkedIn: rewrite the company page description to match your canonical brand description verbatim.

Exit criteria: every foundation quick win from the Quick Wins article is complete.

    Week 2 — Content

Ship two new pieces of content, each targeting real AI-native queries.

    • Query research: use PRESENSS query discovery (or synthetic personas) to surface 30 real prompts your buyers use in AI engines. Prioritize the 10 with clearest purchase intent.
    • Article 1 — a use-case guide for your primary buyer persona. Structure: direct answer in first 100 words, question-shaped H2s, extractable paragraphs, comparison table where relevant, FAQ. Ship with Article + FAQPage schema.
    • Article 2 — a "vs" comparison page against your top-named competitor. Honest, structured, with a verdict, a feature table, and a "who each is best for" section. Ship with Article + FAQPage schema.

Publish both. Add dateModified honestly. Internal-link from other relevant pages.

    Week 3 — Citations

Ship the earned signals that AI engines trust.

    • Review campaign: email your top 20 happy customers with a short, personal request for a G2 or Capterra review. Give them the prompt structure: problem solved, alternatives evaluated, outcome measured. Aim for at least 8 substantive new reviews.
    • Reddit presence: identify 3–5 subreddits where your buyers discuss your category. Contribute substantive answers to 5–10 real threads per subreddit. Do not link-drop. Mention your product only where genuinely relevant.
    • Media outreach: pitch one relevant story to 5 trade publications in your vertical. Angles that work: proprietary data, contrarian analysis, a customer transformation.
    • YouTube: identify 3 credible reviewer channels in your category. Reach out with genuine value (early access, exclusive data, expert access) — not paid placement asks.

Week 4 — Amplification and measurement

Bring the work together and measure.

    • Amplify Week 2 content: repost on LinkedIn from a named executive account, share substantively on X, email to relevant customers and partners, submit to relevant subreddits (following rules).
    • Update FAQs everywhere: every product page, help center article, and pricing page should have current, honest FAQ blocks with FAQPage schema.
    • Re-run PRESENSS measurement: compare to Day 0 baseline. Trend PRSNSS Score overall, per engine, mention rate, sentiment, share of voice.
    • Plan Month 2: based on which engines and personas moved most, prioritize the next 30 days.

    Realistic score improvement expectations

    | Starting score | Realistic Day 30 range | Notes |

    |---|---|---|

    | 0–20 | +5–15 points | Foundation and entity work drive most of the movement |

    | 20–40 | +8–18 points | Content plus citations compound fastest here |

    | 40–60 | +5–12 points | Diminishing returns per hour of work |

    | 60+ | +3–8 points | Requires sustained earned coverage to move further |

Retrieval-augmented engines (Perplexity, AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search) will show the fastest movement. Training-data engines (Claude, base Gemini) show smaller movement in 30 days but compound over subsequent months.

    FAQ

Can we compress the sprint into two weeks?

No. The sequencing matters — content published before foundation fixes wastes the retrieval opportunity, and citations pursued before content have nothing to point at. Two-week compression usually costs 30–50% of the potential score movement.

Do we need to keep going after Day 30?

Yes. GEO is a maintained position, not a one-time launch. Plan monthly cycles: 1 new use-case article, 5–10 new reviews, 1 earned media placement, continuous entity monitoring.

What if my score does not move meaningfully?

Two common causes: (1) a persistent robots.txt or WAF block on AI crawlers that survived Week 1 audit, or (2) severe entity fragmentation across the web that Week 1 audit missed. Re-audit both before assuming the tactics are wrong.
